زیبایی یکی از موضوعات مهم انسان و حوزه فلسفه است که در قرآن با واژه‌های جمال از آن یاد شده است. برخی اندیشمندان اسلامی نظیر ابن‌سینا ویژگیهای نظم، اعتدال را برای زیبایی ارائه داده و برخی دیگر نظیر ابن هیثم و ابوحیان توحیدی تناسب و هماهنگی ملموس را از معیارهای زیبایی می‌دانند. فلاسفه غربی نیز با تعاریف و معیارهای محسوس ریاضی‌گونه و هندسه‌مدار در این دسته قرار دارند. در آیات مربوط به قرآن کریم واژه قدر به معنای اندازه، اندازه‌گیری، تقدیر بارها تاکید شده است. اما وجه افتراق این سه دسته نظریه را می‌توان در وایره وسیع‌تر آیات قرآن کریم در شمول زیبایی‌های آسمانی و زمینی در مقابل زیبایی‌شناسی محسوس نظریه‌پردازان غربی مانند سقراط، ارسطو، آکویناس، نوافلاطونیان، امبرتواکو دانست. در کنار آن اندیشه های فلاسفه و عرفای اسلامی را می‌توان در هر دو دسته زیبایی‌شناسی محسوس و زیبایی‌شناسی زمینی_آسمانی بررسی نمود. رنگها در زیبایی‌شناسی از دیدگاه قرآن کریم و نیز از نظر عرفای اسلامی اهمیتی بسیار دارد. در آیات متعدد قرآن کریم، گوناگونی و تنوع رنگها، نشانه‌ای برای اهل خرد می‌باشد. این بیان با جامعیتی خاص تمامی پدیده‌ها و رنگها را شامل شده و اختلاف رنگها را مناظر قدرت الهی معرفی می‌نماید. همچنین رنگهای سپید و سبز و زرد در توصیف بهشتیان و اهل ایمان، دارای امتیازهای زیبایی‌شناسانه می‌باشد.
Beauty is one of the important topics of man and the field of philosophy, which is mentioned in the Qur'an with the words of beauty. Some Islamic thinkers, such as Ibn Sina, present the characteristics of order, moderation for beauty, and others, such as Ibn Haytham and Abu Hayyan al-Tawhidi, consider fit and tangible harmony as the criteria of beauty. Western philosophers also fall into this category with tangible mathematical and geometric definitions and criteria. In the verses related to the Holy Quran, the word Qadr meaning size, measurement, destiny has been emphasized many times. But the difference between these three categories of theories can be seen in the wider range of verses of the Holy Quran, including heavenly and earthly beauties, as opposed to the perceptible aesthetics of Western theorists such as Socrates, Aristotle, Aquinas, Neoplatonists, and Umberto Waco. In addition, the ideas of Islamic philosophers and mystics can be studied in both categories of perceptible aesthetics and terrestrial-celestial aesthetics. Colors are very important in aesthetics from the point of view of the Holy Quran and also from the point of view of Islamic mystics. In many verses of the Holy Quran, the variety and variety of colors is a sign for the wise. This expression, with a special comprehensiveness, includes all phenomena and colors and introduces the differences of colors as scenes of divine power. Also, white, green and yellow colors have aesthetic advantages in describing heavenly beings and believers.
