Animation, in its modern sense, does not have a long history, though it gained a
relatively steady growth in the last two decades. To stimulate this growth, it is
necessary to identify the strong and weak points in this regard. To do so, separate
interviews with four animation experts were conducted. The answers each of the
experts offered were put together in order to provide the readers with opportunity to
make use of the topics and issues each of the participants discussed on, and to gain
access to new points when the interviewees were involved in exchanging information
on topics of discussion or completing each other’s information on what they talked
about.
Dr. Sayyed Ali RÐAa GolpAyegAni, Dr. NAOir GolmuhammadÐ, Dr. Muhammad YAli
SafurA and Mr. GholAm RÐAA IabÐbÐ, having significant knowledge of animation and
of animation creation as a profession as well as remarkable background in teaching on
and creating animation, succeeded to exhaustively discuss about and exchange ideas
on animation technique and cast light on the hidden aspects of animation and related
issues. The seven questions sent to the experts by the present Journal constituted the
main topics of discussions but extended over to include some other discussions. The
answers each of the participants offered separately and the subsequent discussions
raised on animation and relevant subjects altogether took many hours, and with
further expositions, a more complete series of discussions were formed, many of which
are now available for the reader to refer to.
Despite the fact that it was impossible to introduce all the discussions into this
issue of the journal due to the page limits, it seems the present issue of the journal can
provide the reader with the most important of the raised discussions on the subject in
question throughout the country. Some topics of discussions raised by the experts are
presented to the realm of thought in Iran for the first time. We would like to express
our special thanks to the experts for all their detailed discussions of the issues.
