"It is naturally expected that with an increase in the drivers awareness of traffic regulations, there will be a subsequent decrease in the incidence of their driving violations; however, this relationship has not been investigated sufficiently in academic literature. Therefore, the main goal of this research is to examine this relationship between awareness of traffic regulations and driving violations. The descriptive research findings show that driving violations among drivers is high, and that drivers awareness of traffic regulations is moderate to low. The inferential research findings show that there is a negative significant relationship between a drivers awareness of traffic regulations and the driving violation.
