Cognitive linguists believe that the human perceptual system is inherently metaphorical. They consider metaphor to be related to the realm of thought and beyond the realm of language. Metaphor in contemporary theory means the conceptualization of complex and intangible phenomena of the mind by the tangible and sensory experiences of man. The importance of studying the concept of "heart" (del) is in its ambiguity and transcendence in language and literature, especially mysticism. The word heart implies a wide variety of meanings; therefore, examining the metaphorical processing techniques of the heart is very important in identifying the emotions and thought system of the poet. Due to its importance, the present study tries to describe Sanaei’s school of thought along with some mental elegance and their expressions in order to define and analyze the sentimental tools of "heart" in the poetchr('39')s thought in the framework of cognitive theory and its conceptualization functions. The results show that the most common frequent type of metaphor of the heart is ontological and the most significant is the type of objective metaphor, which indicates the effect of primary mental and unconscious collective experiences on the poetchr('39')s mind in understanding the heart. Inducing the emotional concepts (adoring, sadness and happiness), explaining the moral concepts (patience, selfishness and secularity), are the place to manifest the righteousness, thought and knowledge and secrecy that are respectively among the most important semantic functions of the heart.
