News storytelling is an attractive way to interact with users who have many options
for accessing and reading the news. In a narrative way, this method reduces violence
and bitterness and leads the audience to the desired goal by using knots and narrative
openings. Therefore, if we consider the websites of a media network as part of its news
structure, using the mentioned method in organizing the news of this section can turn
the users of these websites into more serious audiences of those networks. With this
approach, the present article, focusing on a single piece of news, the "Beirut port
explosion", has studied it on the websites of CNN, Reuters and Al-Alam, and has
reviewed their narrative method based on Labov's model. This study showed that the
complexity of CNN and then Reuters was used more than Al-Alam. Reuters' narrative in
this case, based on the "who" element, has expanded its story nodes and time span.
CNN has added to the complexity of the story by emphasizing the "what" element and
using sub-narratives. Narration of Al-Alam has been reported in this regard based on
the element of "what" and event-oriented.
