امروزه نقش خودرو در زندگی انسان ها، نقشی انکارناپذیر است افزایش تعداد خودرو، ضعف زیرساخت های جاده ای، تراکم جمعیت و از همه مهم تر استفاده ناصحیح از این وسیله و کم توجهی و بی توجهی به مقررات راهنمایی و رانندگی معضل های فراوانی را برای کشور ایجاد کرده است. متوسط تلفات 25 هزار نفری و مصدومان بیش از 250 هزار نفری سوانح ترافیکی در سال از جمله این مشکلات است. هدف از این مقاله بررسی چگونگی آموزش قواعد و مقررات ترافیکی برای دانش آموزان شش کشور اروپایی: هلند، آلمان، انگلستان، سوئیس، سوئد و نروژ بود. امید که با انجام این پژوهش، نگارندگان راهی را فرا روی مسئولان آموزش فرهنگ نظم و ایمنی ترافیکی در کشور، از جمله مسئولان نیروی انتظامی، آموزش و پرورش و... گشوده باشند.
