خلاصة:
از دیرباز، بودا و ابراهیم ادهم به عنوان دو شخصیت موثر در تفکرات عرفانی دو قوم هند و ایرانی مطرح هستند. بودا متولد شمال هند است و با پایان دادن به دوران ریاضت خود، راهی را انتخاب کرد که بعدها ، آن را «راه میانه» نامید. ابراهیم بن ادهم نیز از قبیله ای منسوب به بکربن وائل در بلخ است که عمل قهرمانانه او در ترک تعلقات دنیایی و روی آوردن ایشان به زهد و فقر و عالم درون، از او چهره ای محبوب و متفاوت از دیگر صوفیان ساخت. شباهت های موجود در خصوص نحوه تحول و زندگی عرفانی این دو در طول ایام، باور افراد را به این نکته نزدیک ساخته است که ابراهیم، بودای عرفان اسلامی است. لذا در این مقاله بر آن شده ایم که ضمن بررسی کامل زندگی این دو عارف، شباهت ها، تفاوت ها و ویژگی های خاص آنها را از متون معتبر استخراج نموده و در پایان به این نکته دست یابیم که نشانه های موجود در شخصیت و زندگی آنها، بیانگر تفاوت آنهاست، نه یکی بودنشان.

Buddha was born in North India, and by the end of his austerity, selected a way, that was later called the Middle Way. Ibraham is also attributed to the Bakr ebn Vaael tribal in Balkh. His heroic act of leaving worldly attachments and turning to the world of poverty and piety, made popular and different face from other Sufis from him.
During the period, for similarities in how both evolution and Spiritual Life, it is close to the people believe that Ibrahim is Islamic Buddha!
So, In this paper, we decided that complete review of life of these two mystics; and in addition, from authentic texts, quote similarities, differences and characteristics between these two characters. And finally, achieve to this point that: Signs of the characters and their lives, express their differences, not their similarities.
