خلاصة:
حسابرسی منطبق بر استانداردهای حسابرسی به گونه ای طراحی می شود که از نبود اشتباه و یا تحریفی با اهمیت در صورت های مالی به عنوان یک مجموعه اطمینانی معقول بدست آید. این مقاله نتایج تحقیقی را نشان می دهد که در آن اثربخشی فرایند حسابرسی در کشف تحریفات با اهمیت در صورتهای مالی، آزمون شده است. در این تحقیق کشف تحریفات با اهمیت ناشی از اشتباه در برآوردهای حسابداری و عدم رعایت قوانین و مقررات مدنظر قرار گرفت. به این منظور با بررسی صورت های مالی کلیه شرکت های پذیرفته شده در بورس اوراق بهادار، شرکت هایی که مبلغ اشتباهات و تحریف های موجود در صورت های مالی آنها (مبلغ تعدیلات سنواتی) با اهمیت بود مشخص گردید و نهایتا گزارش حسابرس مستقل در خصوص صورت های مالی سال قبل بمنظور تعیین کشف یا عدم کشف تحریفات با اهمیت توسط حسابرس مستقل و بعبارت دیگر تعیین اثربخشی فرآیند حسابرسی در کشف تحریفات با اهمیت مورد بررسی قرار گرفت. یافته های تحقیق حاکی از آن است که فرایند حسابرسی در کشف اشتباهات و تحریفهای با اهمیت دربرآوردهای حسابداری و همچنین کشف اشتباهات و تحریف های با اهمیت ناشی از عدم رعایت قوانین و مقررات توسط واحد مورد رسیدگی اثربخش می باشد. همچنین تفاوت معنی داری بین مبالغ اشتباهات و تحریفات موجود در صورتهای مالی و مبالغ کشف شده توسط حسابرس وجود دارد و مبالغ اعلام شده از سوی حسابرس عمدتا کمتر از مبلغ تحریفات بوده است.
Auditing conforming auditing standards is designed to make a rational confidence for not being material errors and misstatements in financial statements. We test the effectiveness of audit process in detecting material errors and misstatements in financial statements and this article shows the results of this research. In this research, we considered detecting material misstatements resulting of errors in accounting estimates and irregularities. So, we examined all companies listed in the Tehran Stock Exchange and separated the companies that amount of errors and misstatements in their financial statements were material (recorded in prior period adjustments item). Finally, we examined independent audit report about previous fiscal year for the purpose of determining detection or not detection material misstatements by independent auditor, in other words, the effectiveness of audit process in detecting material misstatements.
Our result showed that auditing process is effective about detecting material errors and misstatements in accounting estimates and irregularities. Also, there is significant difference between amounts of errors and misstatements in financial statements and detected amounts by auditors. It means, presented amounts by auditors were mostly less than misstatements.
