خلاصة:
This research examined the potential for energy saving in low-cost housing
through the lens of implementation and construction details. This is while,
that along with building specifications there are some features, which are
related to residents’ building usage such as their preferences for being in
different parts of a building, which should be taken into consideration.
Although buildings information modeling (BIM), has been used already for
energy saving in low-cost housing, the role of space configuration (as an
effective factor on energy consumption), has not been studied yet at the same
time. In this review paper, BIM trend is studied in low-cost housing
ملخص الجهاز:
This research is intended to evaluate the current trends in BIM usage within the architecture / engineering / construction (AEC) industry in its support for energy conservation in low cost housings (Kensek, 2014).
The following statements list the objectives of the study: 1) To analyze the current trends and future developments with BIM within the construction industry; 2) To assess how BIM is being used as a mechanism for energy saving in the low-cost housing; 3) To determine which factors related to residents’ thermal usage have affection on energy consumption in low-cost housings; 4) To reach a common method for considering both building thermal behavior and residents’ thermal usage during the process of energy conservation.
3. Reasons for the Objectives Although there has been many researches about energy conservation through application of BIM, few of them have attended low-cost housings as their target case and in this regard the role of residents related energy analysis as well as building materials, details and measures have not been studied as might be expected.
