برجسته‌سازی از شیوههایی است که در تشخّصبخشیدن به آفرینش هنرى، خلق آثار بزرگ و ابداع سبک‌هاى شخصى نقش مهمی ایفا می‌کند. این جستار نتیجه پژوهشی است که به منظور دستیابی به شگردهای برجسته زبانی اشعار یکی از پیشگامان شعر کودک در ایران یعنی محمود کیانوش انجام شده است. کیانوش به ساختار شعر اهمیت فراوان می‌دهد و معتقد است شعر کودک باید فنی و اصولی باشد. برای رسیدن به این منظور، پس از بیان مقدمهای راجع به برجسته‌سازی و شیوههای آن، معرفی محمود کیانوش و اشعار کودکانۀ وی، برجستهسازیهای این شاعر و نویسندۀ برجستۀ معاصر، در دو بخش هنجارافزایی و هنجارگریزی، در سرودههای کودکانهاش مورد بررسی و تحلیل قرار گرفته است. این پژوهش به شیوۀ توصیفی- تحلیلی انجام شده و مبتنی بر مطالعات کتابخانهای است. بررسی‌های به عمل آمده در این مقاله نشان می‌دهد که وی از انواع مختلف هنجارافزایی و هنجارگریزی در برجسته‌سازی زبان اشعار کودکانهاش بهره برده است که در این میان نقش هنجارگریزیها چشمگیرتر بوده است.
