In the peresent study, the validation of the Heckscher-Ohlin-Vanek theorem (HOV) has been investigated by examining the Factor Content of Trade for six factors: Labor (unskilled, semi-skilled and skilled), physical capital, research and development and energy in the Iranian economy. Hence, using the Input-Output table, the HOV hypothesis has been examined by linking the relative frequency and scarcity of factors to the Factor Content of Trade and the validation test has been done using micro data for 78 fields of activity in agriculture, industry and services by Input-Output tables 2011 and 2016 in Iranian economy. The results show for Iran's economy in 2011 and 2016, the Factor Content of Trade was negative in 34.61% of the activities (27 sections), and the factors have been imported. Also, in 60.25% of the activities (47 sections), it was positive, and has a relative abundance of factors, and therefore the factors have been exported. In each year, of the studied, in 4 service subsectors, factor trading has not been done. In addition, the results show that in 2011 the highest impact on the production process was related to unskilled labor and physical capital, while in 2016, physical capital and research and development expenditures have been predominated.
