The objective of this research is to develop the immediate and postponed
erred achievement in the master's students course in the intellectual disabilities and
autism program in the Postgraduate Studies College, Arabian Gulf University,
Kingdom of Bahrain, by designing an adaptive learning environment based on
different delivery mods of global and sequential content. The researchers used the
experimental and semi-experimental methodology for to experimental groups and
the research experiment was applied during the second semester of the academic
year (2017/2018) on a target sample consisting of (8) students divided into two
groups؛ the first group (intellectual disability - 4 students) studying the content in
the global delivery pattern, and the second group (Autism - 4 students) studying
the in the sequential pattern. An adaptive learning environment was designed
according to the Dick and Carey design model. The researchers used certain
research tools such as immediate cognitive achievement test and deferred cognitive
achievement test. The results showed that there was no statistically significant
difference between the mean scores of the sample at (0.052) in the application of
the immediate and deferred cognitive achievement tests.
