The present study attempts to analyze the artworks of Farah Osuli in the collection "Fazilat Zakhmi" (Wounded Virtue) by applying two approaches -reflection and shaping- from sociology of art according to the theory of Jean Duvignaud. Farah Osuli, a contemporary painter and miniature painter, during her forty years of artistic career, has acquired a unique combination of technique, subject matter and narrative as her personal style and has introduced contemporary concepts to the miniature world. In "Fazilat Zakhmi" she focuses on a critical representation of violence against women and gender discrimination; Therefore, the main claim of this research is to be able to study the impact of society on the creation of this collection and vice versa through a sociological approach, and also find an answer to this question: what concepts has Osuli tried to express in this collection of works by using adapted elements? The motivating factor of this analysis is revealing the layers and internal references of the artist's personality and her suffering from violence against women. What has been achieved is that the social structure and society have had a significant impact on the creation and this artist's figurative expression. This study was done by library-based information retrieving and descriptive-analytical method.
