The study investigates the poet’s vision of the visible and
portrayed body in poetry through discussing the relationship
between body, language, and poetry. That is because language
defines the body and through it arrives to meanings and poetry is
the language that resembles the highest physical component of
meanings in a language. Prior to this the study conducts the
story of creation to make clear the relationship between the soul
and body and the way poets investigated it after this some old
and modern views of poets are studied and the article concludes
with the poetry of three modern poets in connecting the body.
Both visibly and portrayingly; the poets are Adonis, Mahmoud
Darwish and Zuhayr Abu Shayeb
