مطالعات اولیه در زمینۀ رده‌شناسی ریتم یک‌زمانی فواصل زمانی تکیه‌ها در زبان‌های تکیه ـ زمان و دیرش یکسان هجاها در زبان‌های هجا – زمان را بدیهی می‌دانستند. امّا بررسی‌های متأخرتر که به این منظور صورت گرفتند مفهوم هم‌زمانی را زیر سؤال بردند و مشخص شد که ریتم هر زبان برایند ویژگی‌های واجی آن است و نه سازماندهی زمانی آن. زمانی که ریتم زبانی برمبنای الگوهای دیرشی تعیین میشود، لازم است به ویژگی‌های واجی پدیدآورندۀ این الگوها نیز توجه شود. به‌عنوان شاهدی بر این مدعا، اگرچه، براساس شاخص تغییرپذیری دوتایی هنجاریافته، گونۀ کرمانی در ردۀ تکیه – زمان قرار می‌گیرد، تکیۀ واژگانی نقش چندانی در نظام واجی این گونه ایفا نمی‌کند. به‌بیان دیگر، رخداد کاهش واکه‌ای وزن – بنیاد با تبدیل هستۀ هجاهای تک‌مورایی به شوا و ایجاد تقابل بین این واکه و واکه‌های بلندتر تنوع بیشتری در دیرش واکه‌ها ایجاد می‌کند. همچنین این فرایند می‌تواند سبب حذف هستۀ هجاهای تک‌مورایی و شکل‌گیری خوشه‌های همخوانیِ آغازی در این گونه شود. درنتیجه، اگرچه تناوب در دیرش واکه‌ها و پیچیدگی خوشه‌های همخوانی از ویژگی‌های زبان‌های تکیه – زمان هستند، در گونۀ کرمانی این دو ویژگی را نمی‌توان به این ردۀ زبانی و تکیۀ واژگانی مرتبط دانست.
Regarding rhythmic typology, earlier studies have taken for granted the isochrony of interstress intervals and syllables in stress-timed and syllable-timed languages, respectively. However, some later studies have questioned the concept of isochrony and claimed that the rhythm type of each language results from the characteristics of its phonological system, not its temporal organization. So, while classifying the rhythmic type of languages according to the durational measurements, it is necessary to consider the phonological properties that lead to the formation of that rhythm type. As a piece of evidence, although the Kermani variety of Persian has been recognized as stress-timed according to the nPVI calculations, lexical stress has no significant role in the respective phonological system. In other words, it is the application of the weight-based vowel reduction which changes the nucleus of the monomoraic syllables to schwa, the property which yields a higher contrast between the duration of this short vowel and the other longer ones. Moreover, this process can ultimately delete the nucleus of these monomoraic syllables, which results in onset consonant clusters in this variety. Consequently, although various patterns of vowel duration along with complex consonant clusters are the characteristic features of stress-timed languages, in the Kermani variety these features cannot be pertained to this rhythmic type and lexical stress.

در بخش های بعدی از پژوهش حاضر به بررسی این سه ویژگی واجی مؤثر بر ردٔە ریتمی در گونه های ِِ تهرانی و کرمانی از زبان فارسی اشاره شده است : ۲-١ وضعیت تکیۀ واژگانی در رده های ر یتمی داور (۱۹۸۳) بر این باور است که قیدشدن تکیه در واژگان بر کل نظام واجی و نـوایی زبـان تأثیرگـذار خواهد بود و تکیه و قواعد مرتبط به آن ، زبان را به سمت تکیه ـ زمان بودن سوق میدهند.
علاوه بر این ، در پژوهش معصومی و مدرسی قوامی (زیر چاپ ) به این نکته اشاره شده اسـت کـه در گونۀ تهرانی جایگاه تکیۀ اصلی در واحدهای واژگـانی ثابـت ٤ اسـت و در تمـامی مـوارد و فـارغ از ساخت صرفی، وزن هجا و بومی/قرضی بودن واژه ، هجای پایانی تکیه بر است .
coda ۲-۲-۲ بررسی صوت شناختی فرایند کاهش واکه ای وزن ـ بنیاد همان طور که پیش تر نیز ذکر شد، در گونۀ کرمانی از زبان فارسی هستۀ هجاهای تک مورایی به واکۀ شوا تبدیل میشود.
