One of the important art works of Yazd city is an inscription identified in one of the Sha'r weaving sites in the Shah Abolghasem district. This inscription contains some phrases with the religious concepts, and although the date indicated for which shows the year 921 AH, further studies show that the date mentioned does not correspond to the time of creating the inscription. This paper reviews the identified inscriptions using a descriptive-historical-analytical approach and the required information is collected using the field and library methods. One of the motifs is the Sun, creation of which is comparable to that of the Qajar period, such as curly tresses of hair and continuous eyebrows with large eyes. Some comparable examples include the motif of the sun in Maybod pottery dated to 1337 AH, some of the rugs of this period and the tekyeh of Moavenolmolk in Kermanshah. Mohtasham Kashani's composition (in the form of tarkib band) is another element used. He is one of the poets of court of Shah Tahmasb, who probably composed his composition in this period. The framing method is also comparable to the Qajar period samples, and the similar cases can be seen in the Nazem-al-tojar Husseiniyah or Malekzadeh house. Considering the available data and examining which, the inserted date can be considered fake, which does not match the time of its creation, and for this reason, it does not date back older than the Qajar period.
