The Geopolitical Position of Syrian Kurdistan and the Role of Regional and Extra-Regional Actors 1 Shirin Cheraghyan 2 Homayoun Abbasabadi Abstract The emergence of the crisis in Syria created a suitable opportunity for this country to find a new position by using the power vacuum inside and support from outside, and they can be more powerful, cohesive, and organized to play a role in the developments in Syria.
In response to the main question of the research, the hypothesis is raised that the increasing role of Russia in the form of supra-regional and intervening power in the Middle East and North Africa in order to create a balance of power with multifaceted characteristics - multiplicity in the power structure of the international, geopolitical and security system.
The main hypothesis: Turkey, by turning and emphasizing on the hydro political issue and in the form of hydro-hegemonism strategy, is looking for order in the Middle East and becoming a central power in this geopolitical platform.
