the Iranians of the constitutional era faced and became familiar with the new world of the West and a multitude of different terms, words and phenomena, which promised epistemological changes and resulted in new awareness. These aware nesses were the basis for the displacement of power elements and finally structural changes in Iran, but Iranian religious and political activists and elites did not have the same representation of these changes due to their different upbringing and concerns. As a result, various interpretations of words and concepts such as freedom, equality, and law were formed and were reflected in the press and media of that era, which brought many sensitivities due to their special influence and influence.he present article seeks to investigate how the concept of freedom is represented in the press of this era, based on the model of Van Leeuwen, with an emphasis on publications (Qanun - Habal Al Matin - Sur Esrafil and Equality). In this regard, we try to answer the question: How did the press of the constitutional era represent the concept of freedom and what consequences did this representation bring? The method used in this article is content analysis based on Van Leeuwen's representation theory and the theoretical framework is designed based on the above theory. To collect information, the documents and content of the above-mentioned publications were used during the two-year constitutional period (from the spring of 1285 to the summer of 1287).
