مقاله حاضر به معرفی و نقد کتاب تئوری های سازمان: اسطوره‌ها جی ام شفریتز؛ استیون اوت، ترجمه دکتر علی پارسائیان می‌پردازد که توسط انتشارات ترمه منتشر شده است. روش تحقیق از نوع نقد کیفی می‌‌باشد. این اثر توسط انتشارات ترمه در سال ۱۳۹۶ به چاپ پنجم رسیده و در کل دارای 1054 صفحه است کتاب از بعد صوری اثر، همچنین به لحاظ کیفیت صفحه آرایی وصحافی، در وضعیت مطلوبی قرار دارد با توجه به اینکه مقالات اصلی از اسطوره های مدیریت از قبیل اسمیت، فایول، تیلور، سایمون، فالت و سایر نویسندگان آورده شده است ایده نو و بدیع به حساب می آید و آن را از سایر کتب در مورد تئوری های سازمان متمایز کرده است. در این کتاب ارائه کلیات ابتدای هر فصل به قلم شفریتز و اوت سپس ارایه مقالات مرتبط در هر دیدگاه و ارائه منابع هر مقاله به جمع بندی بهتر مطالب کمک می نماید همچنین به لحاظ محتوایی، منابع علمی مورد استفاده در تدوین کتاب، از سال 1896 تا سال 1990بوده که اگر چه با توجه به نسخه‌های جدیدتر کتاب به زبان انگلیسی، دو فصل و مجموعه مقالاتی به چاپ جدید افزوده شده است که از این لحاظ ترجمه کتاب نیازمند به روزآوری است.
The present article introduces, reviews and critiques the book Classics of organization theory: by GM Schafritz and Steven Ott, translated by Dr. Ali Parsaian which has been published by Termeh Press. The research method is qualitative. This book has been reprinted for the fifth time by Termeh Publications in 2017 and has 1054 pages. The book is in a good condition in the appearance, page layout and page quality. This book includes articles from management figures such as Fayol, Taylor, Simon, Follett and so on which distinguishes it from other books in the field of organizational theory. In this book, the presentation of generalities at the beginning of every chapter by Schafritz and Steven Ott along with the presentation of related articles in every viewpoint and presentation of the sources in the end of every article will help to better summarize the content for readers. The disadvantage of translating the book is that its references were from 1896 to 1990. The newer editions of the English book is available and although two chapters and a collection of articles have been added to the new edition, the translation of the book needs to be updated.
