با نگاهی گذرا به پیرامون خود با انسانهایی مواجهه می‌شویم که خواسته یا ناخواسته ارزش‌های اخلاقی و معرفتی را نقض می‌کنند و به دنبال پیدا کردن راه‌های متعددی برای توجیه رفتار غیر اخلاقی و غیر فکری خود هستند. برای مقابله با این مشکل, لازم است نسبت به فهم و پرورش فضیلت فروتنی فکری توجه ویژه‌ای شود. فروتنی فکری به ما کمک می‌کند تا از اعتماد بیش از حد در بیان آنچه فکر می‌کنیم درست است یا آنچه می‌دانیم اجتناب کنیم. فروتنی فکری نه تنها باعث انس و الفت و تعامل بین انسان‌ها می‌شود بلکه باعث می‌شود انسان‌ها در دستیابی به حقایق» عملکرد بهتری داشته باشند. هدف این پژوهش تبیین و بررسی چیستی فروتنی فکری و ضرورت و نقش آن در کسب دانش و معرفت و ارائه راهکارهای برای پرورش و تقویت آن است. این پژوهش با روش تحلیل مفهومی و از نوع پژوهش‌های کیفی است. جامعه پژوهش شامل کتاب‌ها و مقالاتی است که درباره فروتنی فکری و نقش آن در کسب دانش و معرفت مطرح شده است. نتیجه این مطالعه نشان داد که آموزش فروتنی فکری به دانشجویان یکی از مهمترین وظایف اساتید است و جایگاه آن در کمک به دانشجویان برای اکتساب معرفت و دانش» خود کفایی و کسب آمادگی برای دوران بزرگسالی و نقش مهم آن در زندگی سیاسی و اجتماعی بدون جایگزین است. معرفی رذایلی که در مقابل فروتنی فکری است» شبیه شدن به الگوهاء مدل سازی فروتنی فکری، تمرین سخاوتمندی و سپاسگذاری و پرورش فروتنی فکری از طریق ذهنیت رشد گرا از مهمترین راه‌های پرورش این فضیلت فکری است.
Taking a quick look at our surroundings, we encounter people who intentionally or
unintentionally violate virtues and intellectual values and seek to find many ways to
justify their vice and unintellectual behavior. To deal with this problem, it is necessary to
pay special attention to understanding and cultivating the virtue of intellectual humility.
Intellectual humility helps us avoid certainty in stating what we predict is true or what
we tend to know. Not only intellectual humility causes humanity and interaction between
individuals, but also it makes people perform better in gaining the truth. The purpose of
this paper is therefore to clarify and investigate what intellectual humility is and its
necessity and role in acquiring knowledge and providing solutions for its cultivation and
strengthening. This research is a qualitative research and is based on conceptual analysis
method. The study population includes books and articles that debate on intellectual
humility and its role in acquiring knowledge. The results of this study shed light on the
fact that teaching intellectual humility to students is one among the foremost necessary
obligations for university professors. It is also partly attributable to the fact that its
important position in students' political and social life is inevitable as serving them to
acquire knowledge, independence and preparation for adulthood. Presenting vices that
are the inverse of intellectual humility, becoming similar to models, modeling intellectual
humility, practicing generosity and gratitude, and cultivating intellectual humility
through a growth mindset are among the foremost important ways to cultivate this
intellectual virtue.
