The 14th Annual Conference of the Association of Muslim Scientists and Engineers (ASME) was held during the weekend of Safar 26-28, 1409/October 7-9, 1988, at the Islamic Center of North America in Plainfield, Indiana. Members of the AMSS (Association of Muslim Social Scientists) who attended the AMSE Conference, participated in the sessions with undivided attention. A highlight of the Conference was the announcement of the Al Khwarazmi Award that the AMSE will award annually to a distinguished Muslim scientist or engineer.
