Abstract:
مقدمه: هدف بررسی وضعیت منابع کتابخانههای عمومی استان بوشهر و مشخص شدن میزان آمادگی کتابداران کتابخانههای عمومی استان بوشهر در پاسخگویی به نیاز اطلاعات سلامت مراجعهکنندگان به عنوان یکی از نیازهای اطلاعاتی مهم آنها است.
روش: پژوهش حاضر از نظر هدف و نوع کاربردی، و از نظر شیوه گردآوری داده ها به روش پیمایشی- توصیفی انجام شده است. برای گردآوری دادهها از پرسشنامه و سیاهه وارسی استفاده شد. در این پژوهش ۷۷ کتابدار مشارکت داشتند و ۵۷ کتابخانه عمومی استان بوشهر بررسی شد. از آزمون کای اسکوار برای تجزیه و تحلیل دادهها استفاده شد.
یافتهها: بررسی وضعیت منابع و خدمات کتابخانههای استان بوشهر نشان داد که تعداد منابع اطلاعاتی در ارتباط با موضوع سلامت از نظر کمی ضعیف (۵/۲ درصد) است و خدمات اطلاعات سلامت نیز ارائه نمیگردد. همچنین بررسی میزان آمادگی لازم در کتابداران جهت ارائه منابع سلامت پایین ارزیابی شد که در بین آنان، بیشترین میزان آمادگی مربوط به فارغالتحصیلان کتابداری و اطلاعرسانی پزشکی بوده است.
بحث و نتیجهگیری: نتایج این پژوهش به مدیران و برنامهریزان کتابخانههای عمومی کمک میکند که به طور ویژهای به مجموعهسازی در رده ۶۱۰ کتابخانهها اهتمام ورزند و کتابخانههای عمومی را مکانی مناسب برای پاسخگویی به نیاز اطلاعات سلامت جامعه معرفی میکند. همچنین دسترسپذیری اطلاعات سلامت در کتابخانههای عمومی میتواند منجر به جذب کاربران سلامت به کتابخانههای عمومی و بهبود جایگاه کتابخانههای عمومی در جامعه اطلاعاتی شود.
INTRUDUCTION: The study aimed to explore the status of public libraries in Bushehr province in in helping people access the accurate health information by investigating the rate of the librarians’ preparation for proposing the health services and materials in the public libraries of Bushehr province.
METHODOLOGY: This research was an applied study that used a survey-descriptive method. Researcher-made questionnaire and checklist were used for data collection. The study population included all the public libraries and the librarians of Bushehr province.
FINDINGS: The results indicated that the rate of the health materials was low (=2.5%) in the public libraries. The findings showed that the librarians had a little awareness of health information services.
CONCLUSIONS: Public libraries are suitable environments to give proper health information and could respond effectively to the people's health information needs. This can help to attract more and more users and re-creating the informational role of public libraries in the society. According to this, there is an urgent need for policy-making and planning by the Ministry of Health and Medical Education and Iran Public Libraries Association in order to satisfy users' health information needs.
