Abstract:
Hakim Tirmidhi has not left an independent work on the interpretation of the Qur'an. However, many interpretation discussions can be found in his various works. He has explained many Quranic verses and concepts in various places of his works. One of these Quranic concepts is the heart. Hakim Tirmizi talks about the physiology of the heart, finding the path of the devil in the heart through the blood vessels, the heart and Fouad being damaged or broken, the confrontation of the heart with the body or jewels. He considers eyes, ears, blood vessels, knots, and lust for the heart. It seems that all these descriptions made it difficult for him to understand this Quranic concept. In this study, by reviewing and categorizing his scattered explanations of the heart and with an analytical approach, we should reread his theory about the Quranic concept of the heart. This study was formed with this purpose. Our hypothesis in this study is that Hakim Tirmidhi has attributed immaterial things such as light, knowledge, knowledge, wisdom, sensual states and such issues to this physical heart. Keywords: heart, Fouad, ego, knowledge, narrow chest, open chest.
