From the author's viewpoint, common challenges facing the Islamic countries can provide them with a unified public diplomacy. Indeed, some of the complex global challenges of the Islamic world such as globalization and cultural aggression in the form of public diplomacy, accessing nuclear energy, combating terrorism, etc., can provide the Islamic countries with a unified approach to the public diplomacy. In this regard, the author explores the role, power and greater potentials of the OIC in order to formulate a unified strategy of public diplomacy through examining this hypothesis. At the end, the author concludes that a mere traditional diplomacy is not sufficient for countering the Western soft and hard interventions in the Islamic lands; rather, Muslims should establish a structure for a direct accessing of other societies for transferring realities of their policies, values and ideals.
