Paying attention to the monotheism and avoidance of polytheism always has
been an important concern for the Shia scholars, but besides this, upon the
verses and hadiths, visiting the graves, especially the Ziyarah of the tombs of
prophets and righteous has been prescribed. Misguided sect of Wahhabism allows
very Ziyarah of tombs, but hold a few practices during Ziyarah as heresy
and polytheism. Wahhabis resorting to some verses and traditions claim that
trip to visit the shrines and tombs is prohibited and heresy. Offering prayer and
supplication before tomb of someone is forbidden. Resorting to the Saints or
dead righteous people is forbidden. Asking something from them and making
a vow for them is also forbidden. Wahhabis with these words, which appear
to defend the unity of God, attack Shiite belief and criticize Shia thoughts and
practice. This article examine one by one the mentioned cases of Wahhabis’
claims which causes polytheism and show that the words of this misled sect is
a lie and doing these things is not only heretical and would never idolatry, but
also a fully obedience of holy religion and crystallization of pure monotheism.
