چکیده:
Objective: The present study was to identify the dimensions and components of promoting accountability of high school principals in Hormozgan province.
Method: The present study was a qualitative, descriptive and thematic analysis with an exploratory inductive approach. In this study, up to data saturation, 10 experts who had done research in the field of educational management and were experts, professors and professors in the field of educational management and educational sciences at the university, were selected and semi-structured interviews were conducted with them. Open, pivotal and selective coding was performed using MAXQDA 2018 software.
Results: The results obtained identified a total of 3 dimensions, 9 components and 32 indicators to improve the accountability of high school principals Case: Hormozgan province. The main dimensions included, social accountability, organizational accountability and performance accountability. Also identified components include, commitment to others, justification of an action to others, monitoring mechanisms, reporting, bottom-up accountability, internal accountability, individual accountability, transparency, It was participation.
Conclusion: It can be concluded that the establishment of accountability approach of school principals, which emphasizes the accountability and decision-making power of school principals, requires serious attention to all dimensions and components of the accountability system in school management.
