Nature-based tourism is a spatial model of tourism in the postmodern era and a spatial textual shaper, which can be read around travel to natural places (beaches, forests, mountains, springs, etc.) with different motivations from tourists. takes In the meantime, the effects of the natural tourism foundations governing the environment can lead to the development of peri-urban spaces around big cities, which often becomes concrete when the village turns into a city. Thus, the present article was designed with the aim of explaining the effects of natural tourism foundations in the development of peri-urban tourism destinations in Venai region, which is located 12 km from Borujerd city in a mountainous area. This peri-urban area has turned from a village to a city since 2018 due to development in different dimensions. The research method was applied and descriptive-analytical. The statistical population of the research consisted of two groups, the first group: 4649 residents of the region and the second group of tourists entering Vienna, and finally, after sampling, the sample size was determined to be 380 people. The data collection tool was a questionnaire consisting of 53 items and in four dimensions of social, economic, environmental and management foundations, the validity and reliability of which was obtained in all dimensions above 0.7. For data analysis, Pearson correlation test, multiple regression and path analysis were used in SPSS26 software. The findings showed that the Venai region is in a relatively favorable condition in terms of natural tourism foundations. 10 variables of social participation, social cohesion, investment opportunities, discovery of new economic opportunities, geographic location, spatial location, advertising and marketing services, physical variables, communication opportunities, and service opportunities with 99% confidence They have a positive and significant relationship with the development of peri-urban tourism destinations in Borujerd. Also, the results of the regression analysis showed that 96.7% of the changes in the development of tourist destinations in the Venai region are predicted and explained by 5 variables (investment opportunities, spatial location, social participation, advertising and marketing services, and physical variables). Meanwhile, the causal model obtained from the explanation of effects showed that management, social, economic and environmental foundations have the most direct and indirect effects on the development of peri-urban tourism destinations (Venai region) in Borujerd.Nature-based tourism is a spatial model of tourism in the postmodern era and a spatial textual shaper, which can be read around travel to natural places (beaches, forests, mountains, springs, etc.) with different motivations from tourists. takes In the meantime, the effects of the natural tourism foundations governing the environment can lead to the development of peri-urban spaces around big cities, which often becomes concrete when the village turns into a city.
