This research is analyzed in a historical way and with a library method and a descriptive-analytical approach and other data and researchers' research measurements. Its main purpose is to achieve and answer the question of what are the grounds and effective factors in the confrontation between the Imams and the Ash'arites in the Seljuk era.? Findings show that historical, religious and political and social factors were the main differences between the Imams and the Ash'arites and the Abbasid caliphs, which led to the fall of the Buyid dynasty, the rise of the Seljuks and the intensification of common theological and religious conflicts. The conflict at that time was the result of a mission that the Seljuks pursued as supporters of the Sunni and Caliphate religions in the face of threats from the Alawites and Shiites. The Imams considered the Abbasid caliphate illegitimate, and the Ash'arites did not accept the Alawite caliphate and the authority of the Shiite rule over the Sunnis. The Imams, who saw themselves as a minority in the majority society, had a clear strategy for overcoming the crisis, striving for identity, intellectual confrontation, religious recognition, and statehood in the territory. The thought and guidance of this strategy was the responsibility of elders and thinkers. The combination of these factors caused the divergence and contradiction of the discourse thought of the Imams and the Ash'arites, and the two currents used theoretical methods and physical operations in opposition
