The purpose of this research is to examine the relationship between
truthand narrativefrom Foucault's paleontological aspect, and the
evolution of truthand narrativein three pre-modern eras represented by
Aristotle, modernperiod represented by Paul. Ricoeur and
postmodernhas represented Derrida. The classical period refers to
Aristotle, which is based on the principle of identity, and in the modern
period, to Paul Ricoeur, which is based on the principle of Kantian
limitation and based on meaning, and in the form Creative
imaginationand narrative hermeneuticsand in the post-modern period
to Derridabased on emphasis on differences and absence of
reference. The question of this research is how to establish a
relationship between narrativeand truth? The hypothesis of this
research is that: the relationship between truthand narrativeis dynamic
and this link is established through metaphor. The findings of this
research are that truthand narrativeare verbal It is in the period of premodern,
modern, post-modernand this ratio has changed over time, but
despite the change in the three mentioned thinkers, the narrative they
present about politics is based on friendship and not based on
domination.
