in this article, we use a descriptive-analytical method to examine mulla sadra's view on moral motivation. in his works, mulla sadra has two explanations of the origin of human motivation to perform an action. according to the conceptual or substantive explanation in which it is in harmony with the philosophers before it, motivation is sometimes attributed to the first loop of the principles of verb issuance, ie cognition and perception (da'i), and in most cases to the second loop, ie enthusiasm. enthusiasm creates a motivational state in the subject after perception (perception and acknowledgment) and before will (consensus and determination). in this explanation, the subject can perceive and acknowledge goodness, but he is not passionate about it, and he can also not want something that he is passionate about and so there is a possible relationship between these three stages. but according to the existential and intensifying explanation, there is a deep and inherent connection between perception, passion and will, which can be called "intensified internalism. mulla sadra's belief in 1- the head of science, enthusiasm and will throughout existence, 2- the single identity of the soul and the unity of powers and actions, and 3- the dual cognitive-motivational role of practical reason, are the reasons that can explain this kind of introversion in his view.
