This research aimed to explore the relationship between psychological concreteness and
future anxiety among the visually impaired people in Khartoum state, also study differences in
psychological concreteness according to variables of gender and age, the researcher used the
descriptive method. The research sample consisted of (100) visually impaired people in the
Union of the blind in Khartoum state, (60) males and (40) females, they selected by a simple
random method. The data collected by test psychological concreteness and test of future anxiety.
The data analyzed by statistical packages for social sciences (SPSS) through some statistical test
including; Alpha-Cronbach factor, Person correlation, T-test for one sample and T-test for two
independent samples, and analysis of variance (ANOVA). The result reveled the following: the
psychological concreteness among visual impaired people in Khartoum state is high. The future
anxiety among visual impaired people in Khartoum state is low. There is negative significant
statistical correlation relationship between psychological concreteness and future anxiety among
visual impaired people in Khartoum state. There are significant statistical differences in
psychological concreteness between visual impaired people in Khartoum state according to
variable of sex in favor of males. There are no significant statistical differences in psychological
concreteness between visual impaired people in Khartoum state according to variable of age. In
conclusion, the researchers presented some recommendations and future research suggestions,
the important recommendations are; psychologist must designing counselling programs to
enhance psychological Concreteness.
