Abstract:
In traditional theories, the criminal’s personality is something that is created as
a result of domestic experiences. Yet, may criminologists still have doubts about
this because this approach is related to many aspects of Lombroseux project.
In general, criminal acts are the result of a social environment and in the realm
of crimes both personal factors and the role of social organizations should be
considered since no single factor can solely explain them. Even in environmental
predestinarianism viewpoints, there is this agreement that many crimes committed
by certain persons are the result of internal processes. Psychological processes
and events, in many individuals, can be the causal factor for many crimes
and their continuation. These processes are effective in explaining issues which
make the border between normal and abnormal vague. In this article, crime and
criminal behaviors are explained by classical conditioning, operant conditioning
and cognitive -behaviour learning theories as well as information processing
technology and their applications in decreasing crime rates among young and
adult felons are discusses in detail
