Abstract:
Abstract In this paper, the effect of climate change on emergency management due to flood was investigated in Tajan plain
area. First of all, probability of occurrence of the climate-change events was assessed by using Non-parametric
tests. The large-scale variations of atmospheric general circulation models with HadCM3 climate model under
the A2 scenario were investigated in four periods 2041-2070 ,2011-2040 ,1971-2001 and 2071-2100. For downscaling
of the atmospherical general circulation models data at the regional level, the statistical downscaling models
SDSM5.5.1, artificial neural network and proportional methods were employed. Based on the results of the statistical
trend tests, it was observed there is significant trend in the meteorological data changes of area and occurrence
phenomenon of climate change in the case-study area. The overall results of SDSM model and proportional
method indicate that the decrease in rainfall and increase in the temperature will be happened in future periods.
The results of the artificial neural network model were not satisfactory, because of the unacceptable error to simulate
the temperature at an observation period. Furthermore, the predicted temperature and precipitation data had
high and significant correlation respectively with historical data at 95 percent confidence level. Finally, the increase
of temperature and precipitation at some seasons of the year in future time periods causes snow melting at
the end of summer and beginning of autumn and precipitation increase in winter, and autumn seasons increase the
probability of flooding at these seasons of the year.
