Abstract:
Medicinal herb (Myrtus communis L.) is a perennial and aromatic herb with numerous medicinal properties. It grows mostly in the tropical and subtropical regions of South America and Australia. The case is a medicinal plant used in traditional medicine in many parts of the world. The mentioned plant is important and strategic and due to the difficulty in seed germination, the use of tissue culture to increase the area under cultivation of this crop is worth noting. This study investigated the varieties of Iran. The experiment required a large number of germinated seeds of this plant in the Murashic-Scug medium. Germinated seeds were used for preparation of leaf, stem and root explants. Also, four concentrations (0-1-2-3) mg / l and regeneration hormones (kinetin, BAP, TDZ and BAP + TDZ) were used. Leaf explants and concentrations of 3 mg / L as well as BAP + TDZ had the highest regeneration.
