Abstract:
The Al-Wahd rule is one of the most controversial rules in Islamic philosophy and theology. Philosophers have used this rule to explain creation and have tried to prove it. One of the arguments presented for the rule of Al-Wahd is the argument of Ibn Sina. Fakhr al-Razi has taken issue with this argument, but Davani has defended Ibn Sina's argument. One of the lesser known philosophers named Mirza Ebrahim Hosseini Hamedani has also answered the forms of pride in short treatises. In his view, if a cause has two disabilities, then each of these disabilities has a characteristic of that cause that the other does not. For example, "a" has a property with a cause that "b" does not have that property, and vice versa. Given that if the real unit is a source for A and for non-A, then it is necessary for the real unit to have a property with "A" other than the property with "B", and if this unit is a real unit, then it is necessary. Which as a unit is both a source for non-"a" and not a source for other "a" and this is a contradiction. In the present article, we have critically corrected Hamedani's treatise and analyzed Ibn Sina's argument and the problems and defenses related to it.
