Abstract:
Aim: The purpose of this study was to determine the marital
satisfaction based on their differentiation and couples'
intimacy in married students. Method: The research method
was descriptive and correlational. The statistical population
consisted of all couples who were studying in Islamic Azad
University units and were between the ages of 23 and 50 years
old, 200 of whom were selected using available sampling and
completed standard questionnaires of this research. The tools
Data were collected by Lorenz marital satisfaction
questionnaire, Thompson's and Wacker's Intimacy Scale,
Scoron self-assessed differentiation questionnaire. Results: In
the first step, the variable of self-differentiation was included
in the equation, so that the differentiation itself alone was
51% Changes in marital satisfaction were explained. In the
second step, the couples' inferiority variable was introduced
into the equation and the coefficient of explanation increased
to 0.65. The standard deviations of variables were significant
in all steps. Conclusion: In sum, these two variables, namely,
differentiation Couples' intimacy explained a total of 65% of
marital satisfaction variance and the remaining variance
related to unknown variables. Comparing the results with
similar sampling studies showed some of these results.
