Abstract:
بر اساس تئوری نمایندگی که اشاره به جدایی مالکیت از مدیریت شرکت‌ها دارد، مدیران و به خصوص مدیران عامل که در راس هرم مدیریت قراردارند، تصمیمات مهم عملیاتی و استراتژیکی را اتخاذ می‌کنند که تاثیر به سزایی در اهرم مالی شرکت دارد و آن را تحت تاثیر قرار می‌دهد لذا احتمال دارد با افزایش قدرت مدیرعامل، تصمیمات آن با توجه به اینکه به صورت فردی گرفته می‌شود، اهرم مالی را دچار نوسان و تغییرات بیشتری گرداند. لذا هدف پژوهش حاضر بررسی رابطه بین قدرت مدیرعامل و اهرم مالی شرکت‌های پذیرفته شده در بورس اوراق بهادار تهران طی سال‌های 1393 تا 1397 می‌باشد. برای انجام این پژوهش نمونه‌ای متشکل از 106 شرکت پذیرفته شده در بورس اوراق بهادار تهران انتخاب گردید و با بهره‌گیری از الگوی رگرسیون چند متغیره مبتنی بر تکنیک داده‌های تابلویی فرضیه‌های پژوهش مورد آزمون قرار گرفتند. یافته‌های بدست آمده حاکی از آن است که تصدی مدیرعامل و مالکیت مدیرعامل بر اهرم مالی تاثیر منفی و دوگانگی وظیفه مدیرعامل بر اهرم مالی تاثیر مثبت دارد. همچنین، در آزمون تحلیل حساسیت یک معیار کلی برای قدرت مدیرعامل در نظر گرفته شده و نتیجه نشان داد که قدرت مدیرعامل بر اهرم مالی تاثیر منفی دارد.
According to agency theory, which accentuates the separation of management and ownership, managers, particularly top-level managers, make operational and strategic decisions which significantly influence corporate financial leverage. Therefore, increasing CEO power tends to affect the corporate financial leverage through making individual decisions. This study is concerned with examining the relationship between CEO power and financial leverage of the firms listed on the Tehran Stock Exchange during the years 2014-2018. To conduct this research, a sample of 106 companies listed on the Tehran Stock Exchange was selected and the research hypotheses were tested using a multivariate regression model based on panel data technique. The findings indicate that the CEO tenure and CEO ownership has a negative effect on the financial leverage and the CEO duality has a positive effect on the financial leverage. Also, in the sensitivity analysis test, a general criterion for CEO power is considered and the result showed that the CEO power has a negative effect on the financial leverage.
