Abstract:
The political structure of the Islamic Republic of Iran has a different nature. The constitution of the Islamic Republic has not been implemented by the party system. Representatives are elected individually by direct popular vote. In its various laws, the party is marginalized and ignored. In the absence of a party in the Islamic Republic, another institution called the faction has been formed. The faction is a broader concept than the party and represents beyond the party. The faction also has a different nature from the party. Unlike the party, the faction does not have rigid principles and includes different individuals and parties. The basic premise of this article is that politics among revolutionary Islamists in the Islamic Republic of Iran has been partisan. The fundamental question in this regard is which political factions existed within the revolutionary Islamists? The answer to this question requires that the reasons for the formation of factional politics also be answered. In answer to the main question, it must be said that three political factions can be considered among the revolutionary Islamists. On the other hand, he mentioned structural constraints on why factional politics has replaced party politics, such as the bitter historical experience of the party. The conceptual framework of this paper is partisanship and the research method chosen for this paper is historical studies.
