Abstract:

different types of music and music instruments in that era by studying and reviewing the Safavid era
sources, particularly travelogues of European travelers as an important written source. The growth of
theoretical music in Safavid era does not match the previous eras but practical music was able to reach

the chamber music. Later, this growth has shown its effects in next eras, Qajar era in particular.
