The Bahmanians were the first independent Muslim government in South India, who ruled this region from 748 to 932 AD. The founder of this family had Iranian ancestry. For this reason, he and his successors showed great attention to Iranian culture and civilization and the employment of Iranians in various political and social positions such as the ministry and chancellery. The migration of Iranian Shias to the Deccan increased significantly from the middle of the 8th century and reached its peak in the 10th and 11th centuries. A large number of elites and nobles moved to the Bahmani court in the Deccan. Bahmani kings also encouraged this migration. The migration of these scholars, political men, poets and doctors had many consequences in the religious and cultural fields of Deccan. The findings of the current research were done using library sources and descriptive-analytical method. It shows that these migrations caused the spread of Shiism and the spread of Iranian-Islamic culture and civilization in the Deccan.
