Abstract:
Semiosphere is a coined term in Yuri Lotman's Theory and it refers to an abstract enclosed space in which signs only have meaning. What is placed within the boundaries of this sphere qualified culture and internal order, and outside of it, it forms an extra symbolic or non-symbolic space that is disordered and chaotic, and the semiotics cannot be defined in it. Lotman believes that due to mechanisms such as exclusion and absorption at the borders, the semiosphere is always changing. "Dar Astaneh" by Ahmad Shamlou is a long poem that was written at the end of his life and contains his philosophical and religious summaries regarding life, death and the afterlife. In this article, the semiosphere of this work has been analyzed by applying Lotman's theory of cultural semiotics. The analyzes carried out showing that Shamlou rejected the metaphysical elements from the semiosphere, highlighted the boundary of his distinction with non-human nature, and by emptying the semiosphere of natural and supernatural elements, he prepared the sphere for centrality of the human role and highlighting his position.
