چکیده:
همزمان با انقلاب مشروطه در ایران و انقلاب مردم عراق علیه عثمانیها شاعرانی پا به عرصه ادبیات نهادند که مضمونهای مشترکی در اشعارشان بود، از جمله مبارزه با جهل و طلب علم و استعمارستیزی و آزادی خواهی و... آنان پیشرفت و رشد و ترقی کشورشان را در گرو علم طلبی و دوری از نادانی میدانستند و این شاعران در دو کشور مسلمان و همسایه میزیستند. ملک الشعرای بهار و جمیل صدقی زهاوی هر دو شاعر به نام و معاصر ایران و عراق بودند ودر یک دوره زمانی زندگی میکردند. جمیل صدقی زهاوی معروف به «شاعر العراق» علوم اسلامی و ادبیات عرب را در مکتب پدر فرا گرفت. بهار نیز سرودن شعر را در مکتب پدر آموخت. در این مقاله سعی شده که مفهوم علم و جهل در اشعار دو شاعر گرانقدر به صورت تطبیقی بررسی شود و نتایج تحقیق از افکار نزدیک این دو شاعر به همدیگر حکایت دارد.
Simultaneously with the Constitutional Revolution in Iran and the Iraqi People's Revolution against the Ottomans, poets entered the field of literature who had common themes in their poetries including the struggle against ignorance and the demand for science, colonialism, freedom, and so on. They knew how to seek knowledge and avoid ignorance, and these poets lived in two Muslim and neighboring countries. Malek osh-Sho'arā Bahār’and Jamil Sidqi al-Zahawi were both well-known and contemporary poets of Iran and Iraq and lived in the same period. Jamil Sidqi al-Zahawi, known as "Iraq’s poet", studied Islamic sciences and Arabic literature at his father's school. Bahar also learned to compose poetry at his father's school. The present article attempts to study concept of science and ignorance in the poems of two precious poets comparatively and the results of the research indicate abovementioned poets’ close thoughts to each other.

چيزي که در او فايدتي هست بمانـد نابود شود آنچه در او فايدتي نيسـت گر رتبت والا طلبي علـم طلـب کـن کز علم برون زير فلک مرتبتينيست (بهار، ١٣٨٧ش :١٠٦٠) زهاوي در ادامه از ناداني و سکون فرياد ميزند و از مردم ميخواهد که بر عليه تنبلي و بي تحرکي انقلاب کنند و خود را به سوي آنچه که برايشان سـودمند اسـت ، بکشـانند؛ چون معتقد است سودي که در علم است ، نميتوان آن را در چيز ديگري يافت : ضجرت من هذا السکون القبـور انفضوا عنکم الخمــول و ثـوروا انما العلـم اصـل مـا نحتــــاج فيه نفع لنـا وفيـه ابتهــــــاج (زهاوي، ١٩٧٩م : ٢٣٣) بهار مردم ايران را دعوت مينمود که از تنبلي و کـاهلي دور باشـند و کسـب هنـر را براي فرزندان کشور واجب ميداند.
