Historians, geographers, writers, and researchers from the early centuries of Islam to the present day have studied the shape and function of Takh-i-Neshin buildings in the middle of the city of Ardeshir Khorra. However, there are still differing views on how this complex works. For example, the building on the platform is called fireplace, palace, tarbal (tetrapylon), fire temple, Dokan, fire house, kushk, IranGordeh, Iran Kiakhore, ivan, Dekeh, Mansion, tower, house, Chahartagh and Ziggurat, and the water pond next to the platform is called qadir, water pool, water reservoir and waterfall. The attribution of various names to this collection shows the unknown nature of the constructions; this study aims to recognize the function of the complex. To achieve this goal, the interpretive-historical method has been used by studying and analyzing library resources, re-reading archeological reports and historical documents, as well as field surveys and impressions. Then, with a physical and spatial study of similar buildings such as Chahartaghi and Anahita Temple in Bishapour, a comparative study was conducted. The research findings show that the building on the platform is in the form of a cross-shaped hall that has a four-arched composition and is located in a neighboring bed overlooking two man-made ponds in the middle of Ardeshir Khorra city. These four chambers are connected to each other by a fire station attached to the pool of water, suggesting that a temple and place of worship could be used to worship the goddess Anahita in a ritual complex.
