يكتسب الاعلان دورًا حيويًا ومتميزًا بما توفره له هذه الوسيلة الاتصالية من تقنيات ومميزات عديدة تكون كفيلة بتوفير عناصر الابتكار والابهار والتأثير والانتشار للقائم على الاعلان ، ويتم ذلك كله عن طريق استغلال مزايا الصورة والحركة واللون والصوت فضلًا عن حيوية التلفزيون بوصفه وسيلة ذات انتشار واسع وشعبية كبيرة ، ان التطور الواسع الذي حصل في وسائل الاتصال باعتماد التقنية الحديثة في الارسال عبر المحطات الفضائية التي اصبح بالامكان ايصال الرسائل الاعلامية الى أي نقطة من العالم عن طريق شاشة التلفزيون ، وقد جاء هذا البحث ليتناول الاعلانات التلفزيونية ودورها في التأثير على الشباب الجامعي.
