Abstract:
Nihilism is called no-no, non-nihilism, nothingness, and non-disposition, but its idiomatic and commonplace meaning is the negation of all fixed values; in the eyes of a nihilistic man, values fall and greatness and lowliness are mixed. The fundamental question here is how the mentioned components are used in the works of the stage of Nihilism, and also whether this application has the same form and theme for the poets of the so-called nihilistic theatre? To this end, the authors will study the most prominent stage works of the Instrument Theatre. Among these writers are Irish writer and playwright Samuel Beckett and Arthur Adam-off, one of the representatives of Nihilism in the art of the show. The authors aim to study the comparative study of Beckett and Adam-off’s plays “Waiting for Godot” and “as We Have Been” to answer the underlying question. The main problem in this study is that the application of nihilism and nihilism components in Beckett and Adam-off ‘s stage works had the same quality in form and content of meaningfulness? And if so, will this field be generalized to other works of the stage called Nihilism? However, the present study should be considered as a qualitative-citation and analytical-comparative approach. The necessary study materials for this research will be obtained from the library information and also from the analysis of case plays. The result of the analysis and adaptation of the components of Nihilism and the stage works of the prominent playwrights of this school reinforces and proves the hypothesis, “that the components of nihilism and nihilism are continuous in the Theatre of Absurd.”
