Editor's Note It is a great pleasure that we managed to publish the third issue of the 'Journal of Language and translation'.
This time by gaining even more experience and benefiting from the invaluable comments of our colleagues and insightful readers on the previous issues, we were more cautious to rectify some shortcomings of volume one and two.
It is hoped that this issue with articles on various grounds on Foreign Language Teaching and translation studies to meet readers' satisfaction.
In this issue, eight articles have been presented.
Keshavarz and Alimadadi Zonoozi discuss the manipulation of ideology in translation of political texts from critical discourse analysis perspective.
Vosoughi and Farazmand work on the effect of the modified cloze procedure on the writing proficiency of Iranian intermediate EFL Learners.
Abbasian and Seyed-Hendi discuss the effect of explicit negotiated syllabus on developing speaking ability and affective variables.
The wash back effect of high school examinations on Iranian EFL learners’ language learning beliefs is next topic which is presented by Nazari and Nikoopour.
Akhavan and Asad focus on humor and translation: A case study of black humor in Langston Hughes's poetry.
Khabiri and Heidari try to investigate the relationship among EFL Learners’ left/right brain dominance, autonomy, and reading comprehension of the academic and general reading modules of IELTS.
Using teacher- and student-developed graphic organizers has been used as a writing tool by Marashi and Massoodi-Hematabadi for their study.
