تدریس حرفه معلمان است که باید آن را در دانشگاه بیاموزند. اما، آنان در دانشگاههای نظری ما چیزی جز نظریههای تدریس و یادگیری نمیآموزند. آنچه در حال حاضر تخصص تدریس خوانده میشود، چیزی جز دانستن نظریههای تدریس و یادگیری نیست؛ نظریههایی که در بهترین حالت به فن فروکاسته شدهاند و عنوان فاخر روشها و فنون تدریس را یدک میکشند. هدف این مقاله، دفاع از تدریس به عنوان یک رشته عملی است. با تکیه بر «عملی» شواب استدلال شده است، چنانچه جدا برای رشد حرفه تدریس و تحقق معلم پژوهنده اهمیت قائلیم، باید تدریس را به عنوان یک رشته عملی به رسمیت بشناسیم. در پرتو نظریه عملی و با نظر به جنبه عملی تدریس، از شرایطی متفاوت برای رشد حرفه تدریس میتوان سخن گفت. در اینجا درباره دو شرط (1) دریافت مسائل عملی و (2) دریافت کثرت نظریهها بحث شده است. همچنین، به شواهدی عینی اشاره شده است که موجودیت تدریس به عنوان یک رشته عملی را تایید میکنند. شواهدی چون وجود مفاهیم، نظریهها، ساختارها، روشها، نهادها و از همه مهمتر، وجود پارادایم تحقیقات عملی.
The teaching profession is teacher's work, that they should learn it at the university. However, they learn nothing but teaching and learning theories in our theoretical universities. What is currently called the teaching expertise is merely knowledge about the teaching and learning theories which in the best condition were reduced to teqniques and labeled great title of General Methods and Techniques of Teaching. This article aims to advocate the teaching as a practical field. Rely upon Schwab's practical, is argued that we should acknowledge teaching as a practical field, if we are seriously concerned to develop the teaching profession or realize the teacher as researcher. In light of the practical theory and consideration of practical facet of teaching, different conditions for development of teaching profession might be discussed. Here, two conditions are discussed: (1) perceiving the practical problems and (2) perceiving the diversity of theories. Also, the concrete evidences are addressed that confirm the existence of teaching as a practical field, such as concepts, theories, structures, methods, institutions and above all, the practical paradigm of research.
